Emerging Leaders:  Looking at the Past, Present and Future

The AACE Conference Planning Committee has lined up a fantastic full day for our 2010 Winter Conference hosted this year by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock College of Business.  

The morning workshop will be Effective Sourcing Strategies, presented by sourcing guru Teresa Bustamante.  Teresa is one of the brightest stars in sourcing today.  She is truly passionate about the industry, and professionals unquestionably endorse her work as supurb.   In this workshop you will learn her methods to bring top talent into your organization.

The afternoon workshop is titled The New Generation in the Workplace:  How to Recruit, Manage, and Motivate Them, presented by Dr. Linda Pledger.  Dr. Pledger is a professor emeritus from the Speech Communication Department at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, having directed the Master's program in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication for twelve years.  She consults in the areas of transformational leadership development, generational diversity, interpersonal and gender communication, family communication, and emotional intelligence.  In this workshop you will learn how to create win-win solutions for attracting, managing and motivating today's younger generation.

The wrap up session is titled Career Reflections:  A Perspective on Career Services, presented by Barbara Batson, Career Services Director, University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.  Barbara will be discussing those parts of her industrious career in university career services which she found especially successful to help make your job easier as a recruiter coming to campus or as a career services professional.
